Windows Media Player is constantly buffering, I can see and hear the program sporadically.
|
Make sure you have changed your Network Buffering Option to buffer 30 seconds of content compared to the default buffering of 5 seconds (see directions below).
DIRECTIONS:
1) While viewing a program, right click on the Windows Media screen and choose Options.
2) Click on the Performance tab.
3) Go to Network Buffering and click on Buffer (a green circle will now light up on your selection and will disappear from Use Default Buffering).
4) Type in “30” seconds.
5) Click on Apply on the bottom right of the screen.
You may find when viewing streaming video inside of your organization, there can be times when there is little to no buffering and other times significant buffering. This is caused by local network congestion and these conditions can vary depending on how much network traffic exists at your location while you are viewing a program.
Therefore, you may not have the bandwidth necessary to view this program with out sporadic buffering.
In order to alleviate bandwidth challenges, TLC does stream live events at two different speeds. Your Windows Media Player will automatically pick the speed that works best for your computer network.
For high-bandwidth organizations, TLC steams at 275K for the highest quality viewing and for lower bandwidth organizations, TLC also simultaneously streams at 150K in Windows Media.
Please check and confirm you have enough bandwidth capability to support video streaming at a minimum of 150k.

I'm using Windows Media Player, and I can get audio and hear the program but I can't see a picture.
|
You most likely need to upgrade your Windows Media Player.
First, right click over the blank picture and select about. This will tell you which version of Windows Media Player you have. If it is less than Windows Media Player 8, you need to upgrade to Windows Media 9 or 10 (the latest free download).
There is a link in the lower right corner of the pop-up screen. Or simply go to Microsoft.com to download the most recent version or click on the link below.

I can see the program but I have no audio?
|
You need to turn up the volume, or turn off mute.
Or do you have your audio card removed from your computer?
|
|
I'm on a laptop and my sound is very low. Is there a call-in number to listen to the programs?
|
We're sorry, but the only audio available is through the streaming media. We recommend you attach powered, external speakers to your laptop to improve sound quality.
|
|
The video window is too small. Is there a way to increase the size?
|
Yes, you can easily view a double sized window by click on a link in the lower-right portion of the viewing window called "Window too small? Click Here."

I'm using Windows Media Player, and I'm using a projector and I can't see the video, even though it's playing just fine on my laptop.

Some older projects do not work well with Windows Media Player. Please follow the steps below to change the video acceleration:
- In Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options.
- In the Options dialog box, click the Performance tab.
- In the Video Acceleration area, move the slider to adjust the video-acceleration capabilities of your video hardware. Drag the slider to Full to use all available video acceleration. Drag the slider to None to use basic video-acceleration settings that work with most video hardware.
